Relaunch of Swiss brand from the fifties

The Lausanne-based cosmetics brand, which enjoyed glory years from 1955 to 1995 is back on the road, supported by Swiss professional snowboarder and musician Pat Burgener.

Founded in 1955 by the grandparents of Swiss snowboarder and musician Pat Burgener, "Lynell" was a Lausanne-based cosmetics brand a dazzling success throughout Switzerland for almost 40 years. The retirement of Madeleine Burgener, the brand's founder and torchbearer, ended the story of this Swiss cosmetics flagship brand, adored by thousands of women across the country.


In 2023, after an absence of almost 30 years, Pat Burgener decided to honor his grandmother's legacy and decided to join forces with Marc-Antoine, his entrepreneurial brother, and Manon von Graffenried, a cosmetics enthusiast who has been working in the industry in Paris, New York and Geneva, to relaunch this brand with its radiant past. Pat recounts: "When I was little, my grandmother was always telling me about her travels all over Switzerland selling her cosmetics in the country's finest palaces". He continues: "The cosmetics business is often quite superficial, very much based on appearances. This has a detrimental effect on youth. We want to help reverse this trend and focus on self-acceptance."
Manon continues: "We want to enable young people to take care of their skin with our Swiss products, made from simple ingredients of the highest quality. We want to restore the skin's natural radiance and eliminate the need people feel to hide features in order ' fit in'." She concludes: "Everyone should be able to feel good about themselves, in their own skin, without compromise."


More than just another cosmetics brand, Lynell Switzerland seeks to create Swiss-made cosmetics accessible, while at the same time address the fundamental problem of insecurity caused by social media and marketing pressures that impose idealistic and unattainable standards of beauty.


For its comeback, Lynell Switzerland is relaunching an improved formula of the brand's original under the name Pure-lyn. Made with 96.4% of natural-origin ingredients, it deeply cleanses pores and balances cutaneous skin sebum to heal skin imperfections.


For daily use all over the face or for local application, the product has been shown to significantly reduce blemishes and redness under dermatological control. The next launch will be Hydra-lyn face cream, expected to be a bestseller, and is scheduled for September.
